Prevention
DID YOU KNOW? More people die from cigarette
smoke and related illnesses than die from AIDS, alcohol,
traffic accidents, illicit drugs, murder and suicide
combined?
Non-smokers who live with smokers have virtually the
same risks of diseases as smokers!
In addition to cancers, emphysema and heart disease,
smoking causes a variety of other diseases and
conditions including ulcers, stroke, infertility, cavities,
bronchitis and even a greater likelihood of catching
colds and flu.
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO QUIT
Hinsdale County Public Health and Community Services
provides a local tobacco education and prevention
programs. The Hinsdale County Tobacco Coalition
meets twice yearly and is open to the public. For
